Stibo Graphic adds D2 to customer portfolio
05/03/2012

Stibo Graphic has signed a long-term agreement with NHST Media Group in Norway on producing ‘D2’ – a high-profile quality magazine published every Friday as a supplement in the Norwegian daily newspaper Dagens Næringsliv, which specialises in business reporting.
D2 is one of a kind, a modern lifestyle magazine aimed at both a male and female readership. Quality journalism and outstanding photography are used to communicate news and in-depth articles on cultural and lifestyle subjects; in other words, it combines the best from the worlds of newspapers and magazines. The aim is a diverse magazine with surprising stories and front pages announcing new trends and innovation, but also articles about the processes behind the trends and conflicts which can emerge within these areas. D2 has won a string of international and Norwegian prizes for its outstanding photography and design. D2 has a weekly readership of 207,000 (TNS Gallup Q2 2011).
Procurement Director at NHST Media Group, Silje N. Arnesen, describes why Stibo Graphic was chosen as supplier: “We have been extremely thorough in our choice of supplier. Quality, reliability and flexibility have all been key parameters. The logistics in Norway are difficult and complicated — and they must never fail. We are focusing on creating a magazine that exudes high-quality journalism, photography and design – every single week. Stable production and high-quality printing are therefore imperative.”
Magazines as newspaper supplements are a growing customer segment at Stibo Graphic. To meet this demand and the requirements for short lead times, the company has invested in increased stitching capacity in order to handle the large newspaper inserts and supplements while also providing publishers with options for adhesion of fun product samples.
