Scotts of Stow chooses Stibo for integrated merchandising, Catalog and PIM solution

Merchandisers and catalog creatives to work with Stibo's latest suite of software.
Stibo Catalog announced today the signing of an agreement with leading UK mail order house, Scotts of Stow, for its STEP 4.7 product content management suite.
To continue its aggressive growth strategy, Scotts of Stow selected Stibo Catalog’s STEP solution to handle all product information of about 25,000 SKUs, an estimated 15,000 digital assets, assist in merchandising planning and enable true multi-channel publishing. Scotts of Stow chose STEP due to the fact that STEP offers the best combination of relevant beneficial features, proven stability, fast implementation and low risk.
Nigel Swabey, Chairman and Chief Executive of Scotts of Stow said: “We needed a Digital Asset Management and a Product Information Management system. We defined the need over an 18-month period using a third-party consultant who was experienced in the area. We reviewed offerings from ten potential suppliers worldwide.

Scotts will use STEP 4.7, the latest release of the leading product content management suite, to store and manage product information throughout the business, from initial evaluation of new product, through the selection process, the planning of ranges and catalog publications, right through to integrated publishing into QuarkXPress for print and via XML to other business systems and websites.
